“The space in which we live should be for the person we are becoming now. Not for the person we were in the past.”
– Marie Kondo
At an early age, my mother and grandmother taught me the importance of taking care of our home — no matter how big or small, new or old. From humble beginnings, they worked hard to provide, cook, clean and fill our home with love.
My journey to become a professional organizer started out in 2017 after a friend encouraged me to read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo. Inspired to become a professional organizer, I joined the “tidying movement” and the collective mission to organize the world and inspire people to lead lives that spark joy — starting at home.
As a lover of story-telling, I earned my undergraduate degree in mass communication and a master’s degree in corporate communication. A heart for helping people achieve their goals and dreams led me to become a Certified Personal and Executive Coach through Valorie Burton’s CaPP Institute (Coaching and Positive Psychology) in 2011.
I find joy in inspiring individuals to live authentically and wholeheartedly – and what better way to help people achieve their personal and professional goals than through organizing their homes and spaces. The magical thing about having our homes in order and taking care of ourselves is that we find all sorts of joy to share with others.
My approach is influenced by the philosophies of Marie Kondo, Valorie Burton, Lysa TerKeurst, Nate Berkus, Joanna Gaines, Emily Ley, Chrystal Evans Hurst, Ruth Soukup and many others. I believe our homes should rise up to great us daily. And in doing so, we create a space to express gratitude, offer grace to ourselves and others, let go of the past and move forward to become our best selves.
